Reliability Engineer, Vibration Analysis & Condition Monitoring
Overview
You will own DuPont's global vibration analysis and machinery condition monitoring strategy, serving as the company's subject matter expert across all manufacturing sites. You will lead a network of analysts, govern corporate standards, and drive adoption of AI-enabled predictive maintenance technologies. With 10+ years in industrial reliability and ISO Category II certification, you will shape the future of reliability at a Fortune 500 company. This role offers the chance to impact operations across five global locations, from Philadelphia to Wilmington.
What You'll Do10
- 1Develop and maintain DuPont's global strategy and roadmap for vibration monitoring and other machinery condition monitoring technologies, including online monitoring, wireless sensors, and AI-based diagnostics.
- 2Lead the global vibration analysis network across all businesses and manufacturing sites, setting standards for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- 3Govern corporate standards for vibration hardware (portable analyzers, accelerometers, online systems) and software platforms (machinery health databases, analytics tools, enterprise integrations).
- 4Establish program KPIs to measure effectiveness, compliance, and business value, then report progress to senior leadership.
- 5Evaluate emerging condition monitoring technologies and pilot their use at select sites, scaling successful pilots globally.
- 6Develop training and certification roadmaps for vibration analysts, conducting workshops and coaching site engineers.
- 7Provide technical consulting to plant stakeholders, identifying gaps in maintenance strategies and quantifying improvement opportunities.
- 8Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure consistent vibration analysis services and hardware across the enterprise.
- 9Drive the adoption of AI-driven predictive maintenance and machinery health analytics to reduce downtime and increase asset reliability.
- 10Mentor engineers and technicians, building a community of practice and sharing best practices across sites.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 210+ years of industrial reliability or maintenance experience with a focus on rotating equipment.
- 35+ years in vibration analysis and machinery diagnostics, with ISO Category II certification or higher.
- 4Demonstrated expertise in rotating equipment reliability and predictive maintenance technologies.
- 5Experience leading enterprise or multi-site improvement initiatives with measurable results.
- 6Strong communication and influence skills, able to engage plant-level and executive stakeholders.
- 7Preferred: ISO Category III or IV certification, CRL or CMRP certification.
- 8Preferred: Experience with online monitoring systems and AI-enabled predictive maintenance platforms such as Emerson AMS or Augury.
