Condition Monitoring Engineer / Vibration Specialist
Overview
Own the technical delivery of Asset Condition Management projects across the region, from initial consultation to execution. You will consult with clients to align reliability strategies, lead vibration analysis, and drive condition monitoring programs using John Crane Sense, Indufil, and other technologies. Part of the Service Delivery Office, you will work with contract managers, on-site teams, and sales to ensure projects meet performance targets. This role combines hands-on diagnostics with strategic program development, offering direct impact on asset reliability for global energy and process customers.
What You'll Do7
- 1Consult with clients to define reliability vision, strategy, and roadmap, and implement new services or enhancements to existing condition monitoring programs.
- 2Lead the execution of Asset Condition Management projects, coordinating with contract managers, on-site teams, and local sales teams to deliver on time and within scope.
- 3Develop and maintain analysis databases and reporting systems for Vibration, Lubrication, and other monitoring technologies.
- 4Perform advanced diagnostics, including Turbo machinery vibration analysis, Motion Amplification, and complex machinery troubleshooting, to support Performance Plus contracts.
- 5Analyze vibration data for John Crane Sense monitor customers and provide technical support for the Indufil product line.
- 6Drive the expansion of condition monitoring services by identifying growth opportunities and specifying tools for the region.
- 7Deliver field diagnostics and technical reports, translating complex data into actionable recommendations for clients.
Requirements9
- 15+ years of experience in vibration analysis for condition monitoring of rotating equipment, such as pumps and compressors.
- 2Vibration Analysis ISO 18436-2 Category 2 certification or equivalent is required.
- 3Demonstrated experience establishing condition monitoring programs and working with rotating equipment, including pumps and turbo machinery.
- 4High school diploma required; engineering degree preferred.
- 5Vibration Analysis ISO 18436-2 Category 3 certification is a strong plus.
- 6Specialist skills in Lubrication Analysis ISO 18436-4 Category 2 or equivalent, and CMRP or ARPE certifications are preferred.
- 7Ability to travel up to 40% within the US, Canada, and Caribbean regions.
- 8Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- 9English fluency required; other languages are beneficial.
