Overview
You own revenue growth across key accounts in the New England territory, driving double-digit sales expansion for John Crane's mission-critical flow control solutions. You work with mechanical seals, couplings, and predictive monitoring products, supporting energy and process industries. Your team spans sales, marketing, and engineering, with a global network of 200+ sites. This field role requires 50% travel, with a focus on building lasting customer relationships and winning new business.
What You'll Do8
- 1Identify new business opportunities in key accounts to grow market share and support project bid activities.
- 2Manage pre- and post-order execution for key accounts, strengthening relationships across the John Crane product range.
- 3Oversee sales activities and expenses within budget, ensuring approvals follow company and customer processes.
- 4Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering to deliver solutions that meet pricing and margin targets.
- 5Resolve service issues for key accounts and handle all sales reporting, including forecasts, actuals, and variance analysis.
- 6Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover growth opportunities and upsell existing clients.
- 7Present technical product applications and value propositions to customers and potential customers.
- 8Achieve year-over-year sales growth by driving demand for mechanical seals and couplings in the energy sector.
Requirements9
- 15+ years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 23+ years working with rotating equipment, such as pumps or compressors.
- 3College degree in engineering or business preferred; high school diploma required.
- 4Track record of achieving year-over-year sales growth.
- 5Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 6Self-starter who thrives with minimal direct supervision.
- 7Proficiency with MS Office suite and ERP systems.
- 8Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations to customers.
- 9Willingness to travel 50% within the territory, based in Hartford, CT, Springfield, MA, or Worcester, MA.
