What You'll Do10
- 1Orient new nursing staff through structured onboarding programs, using EPIC and BLS protocols.
- 2Mentor preceptors and provide ongoing education to ensure clinical competency across all shifts.
- 3Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions, documenting in EMR systems.
- 4Record vital signs and patient histories, and report changes to the care team.
- 5Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care plans.
- 6Adjust treatment plans based on patient responses, ensuring safety and efficacy.
- 7Supervise nursing personnel, delegate tasks, and oversee unit operations.
- 8Teach patients and families about health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- 9Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation for state and facility audits.
- 10Coordinate diagnostic tests, interpret results, and incorporate findings into care plans.
Requirements9
- 1Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- 2Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Delaware.
- 3Active CPR certification.
- 42+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in correctional or acute care.
- 5Demonstrated teaching or training experience, with ability to develop curricula.
- 6Knowledge of state nursing regulations and practice acts.
- 7Strong communication and interpersonal skills for mentoring and teamwork.
- 8Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments.
- 9Proficiency in EMR documentation and Microsoft Office.
