Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Doubles
Overview
You will own nursing care for residents at Green Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation, a Skilled Nursing facility in Dallas, Texas, during weekend double shifts. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans. You will report directly to the Director of Nursing and work alongside Registered Nurses, LVNs, and physicians. What You'll Do7
- 1Administer medications and treatments to residents as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- 2Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient conditions, reporting findings to the healthcare team within 24 hours.
- 3Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support, promoting independence and dignity.
- 4Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other professionals to develop and update individualized care plans based on resident assessments.
- 5Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with facility policies and state regulations, using EHR systems.
- 6Educate residents and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies, tailoring information to their needs.
- 7Enforce infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.
Requirements9
- 1Current and valid RN license in the state of Texas.
- 2Completion of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- 3BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- 4Demonstrated ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills for resident and team interactions.
- 6Preferred: Experience in a nursing home or rehabilitation facility.
- 7Preferred: Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
- 8Preferred: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- 9Preferred: Training in geriatric nursing or chronic disease management.
