RN Weekend Supervisor, Long-Term Care
Overview
RN Weekend Supervisor owns nursing care and staff oversight every Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 10pm at The Highlands Guest Care Center. You ensure the facility meets staffing levels, drive RAI assessments for residents with status changes, and keep units safe and clean. You partner with the Director of Nursing to shape dementia care and policies, and you coordinate audits and insurance pre-certifications. This role stands out with $37-$41 per hour, full benefits, and a direct impact on resident dignity and care quality.
What You'll Do8
- 1Staff the floor each weekend to meet minimum nurse and aide ratios, posting required RN coverage data.
- 2Trigger RAI assessments for any resident with significant status changes, ensuring accurate documentation.
- 3Maintain clean, safe resident rooms, common areas, and nurse stations during your shift.
- 4Develop a dementia care program with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on holistic resident needs.
- 5Reconcile resident census, reporting admissions, discharges, and bed holds to support billing and clinical records.
- 6Coordinate safe transfers and discharges, and manage Medicare Advantage pre-certifications and recertifications.
- 7Audit nursing charting for accuracy, and contribute to facility surveys and the triple check review process.
- 8Prepare and submit resident billable charge sheets per facility billing policies, and support committee meetings.
Requirements6
- 1RN license in Texas with 2+ years in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- 21+ year supervisory experience, including scheduling and staff oversight.
- 3Knowledge of RAI process and MDS 3.0 assessment tools.
- 4Familiarity with Medicare and commercial insurance pre-certification requirements.
- 5Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday, 6am-10pm, onsite.
- 6Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office for audits and reports.
