Overview
The role owns new graduate and orientation responsibilities in Banner Health's Emergency Department, supporting a structured residency program at night. You will train alongside seasoned clinicians, complete clinical experiences, and progress to independent practice within 12 months. The program emphasizes mentorship, simulation, and hands-on patient care in a high acuity ED setting.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and implement nursing plans of care including discharge planning
- 2Assess patient needs and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
- 3Document patient data and care provided in the electronic medical record
- 4Mentor and precept new staff and students in clinical practice
- 5Participate in quality and performance improvement activities
- 6Communicate patient status clearly to families and care team
- 7Deliver evidence based care and promote safety and patient outcomes
- 8Contribute to unit operations and staff development
- 9Interact with patients, families, and external providers to ensure seamless care
Requirements5
- 1Current RN license in state of practice or compact licensure
- 2BLS certification required
- 3Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
- 4BSN preferred, ADN considered at select locations
- 5No more than 12 months of RN experience
