Registered Nurse RN Emergency Department, Night Shift at Banner Health
Overview
nursing role overseeing emergency department care for pediatric and adult patients in a magnet recognized, fully electronic 353 bed hospital. What You'll Do10
- 1Assess patient needs and coordinate a plan of care with the multidisciplinary team
- 2Develop and revise care plans including discharge planning based on assessment data
- 3Provide and supervise direct patient care following physician orders and nursing plan of care
- 4Document assessments, plans and evaluations accurately in the patient record
- 5Communicate status and changes to caregivers to ensure continuity of care
- 6Participate in professional development, mentoring and quality improvement activities
- 7Support hospital initiatives to improve patient outcomes and adherence to standards of care
- 8Collaborate with physicians, advance practice providers and other staff to optimize care delivery
- 9Adapt to changing patient needs and care environments while maintaining patient safety
- 10Engage with patients and families to support education and coping during hospitalization
Requirements5
- 1Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure
- 2BLS certification required
- 3Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months
- 41 year of experience in acute care nursing in specialty area preferred
- 5Bachelor's degree or professional certification preferred
