Registered Nurse RN General PCU
Overview
This role owns direct patient care on a combined General PCU unit with both private and semi-private rooms. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with varied medical conditions on a night shift. You will work within a team oriented model emphasizing growth, integrity, and collaboration. The role offers a 7,500 sign-on bonus and self-scheduling with weekend differentials.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assess patient needs and review diagnostics to develop a plan of care
- 2Initiate and adjust the plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- 3Deliver direct patient care and supervise nursing activities ensuring policy compliance
- 4Evaluate patient progress and adjust teaching and care plans as needed
- 5Document assessments, plans, and patient responses clearly and timely
- 6Participate in leadership activities and support staff development
- 7Contribute to high quality, safe patient care outcomes
- 8Coordinate communication with families and other care providers
- 9Engage in continuing education to maintain clinical competencies
Requirements5
- 1Must possess a current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure
- 2BLS certification required
- 3Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- 412 months of acute care RN experience preferred for Banner positions
- 5Ability to operate in a 2/12-hour night shift schedule and utilize self-scheduling tools
