Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift | Good Samaritan Society
Overview
You will own individualized nursing care for residents in a 32-hour weekly day shift role at Good Samaritan Society, part of Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the US. What You'll Do8
- 1Apply the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for residents
- 2Coordinate care with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues including providers to ensure holistic treatment
- 3Educate residents and families on health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment plans
- 4Serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope and competence
- 5Provide support and supervision to delegatees to ensure safe, reliable resident care and address care concerns
- 6Practice within the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state, adhering to ANA Scope and Standards
- 7Maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications, updating as needed
- 8Document resident assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
Requirements9
- 1Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
- 2Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- 3Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing, or multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- 4Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- 5Demonstrates competency in age and population-specific standards as assigned in the clinical setting
- 6Possesses knowledge of the nursing process and full scope of nursing expertise
- 7Has strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
- 8Ability to delegate and supervise assistive personnel effectively
- 9Commitment to professional conduct as outlined in the ANA Code of Ethics
