Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit - telemetry, med-surg experience
Overview
Owns nursing care for patients requiring close monitoring between general med-surg and ICU in a telemetry setting. Works with cardiac and respiratory conditions using telemetry to guide timely interventions. Requires an associate or bachelor’s in nursing and active RN license. Onsite contract in Phoenix, AZ with pay negotiable.
What You'll Do6
- 1Monitor telemetry and vital signs to detect early deterioration
- 2Administer medications and treatments per orders and unit protocols
- 3Perform ongoing patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- 4Provide patient and family education on disease process medications and discharge planning
- 5Assist with mobility activities of daily living and safety precautions
- 6Document care provided and patient response in the medical record

- 1Current RN license in state of practice
- 2BLS certification
- 3ACLS certification
- 4Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 5Minimum 1 year of med-surg or telemetry nursing experience
