Overview
RN for Critical Care at Loretto Hospital joining a tight knit care team in a safety net setting. Owns care for Adult and Critical Care patients under the Director of Acute Care and Surgery. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead the delivery of evidence based care in the Critical Care unit and monitor patient outcomes
- 2Partner with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient conditions and safety
- 3Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the CCU
- 4Participate in quality initiatives, research or evidence based activities to improve practice
- 5Precept and mentor new hires and on board junior nurses to uphold standards of care
- 6Collaborate with peers to create constructive partnerships and ensure a positive patient experience
- 7Communicate effectively with patients and families to support goals and expectations
- 8Assist in meeting unit objectives and compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- 9Demonstrate leadership in maintaining competencies and staying current with critical care practices
- 10Support department goals and adapt to additional assignments as needed
Requirements5
- 1Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- 2Current RN License for the state of IL
- 3One year of medical surgical or critical care experience
- 4Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 5ACLS required within 90 days of hire
