What You'll Do10
- 1Administer psychotropic medications, including IM injections, and monitor side effects.
- 2Develop and supervise medication policies and procedures for the ACT team.
- 3Conduct physical health assessments and coordinate with community physicians for continuity of care.
- 4Partner with Psychiatrists to establish medication plans and promote self-management.
- 5Lead daily team meetings and treatment planning, aligning with ACT fidelity.
- 6Create recovery goals with clients and team members, revising plans as needed.
- 7Train team members on integrating mental and physical health topics.
- 8Manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, and oversee destruction protocols.
- 9File mandated reports with Child Protection and Ombudsman when necessary.
- 10Transport clients in the community and participate in on-call coverage.
Requirements6
- 1Current Registered Nurse license in Minnesota.
- 21+ years experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably with ACT or community mental health.
- 3Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- 4Experience with EMR systems and medication administration.
- 5Valid driver's license and ability to transport clients.
- 6CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
