Registered Dietitian, Outpatient Community Health
Overview
Registered Dietitian will own comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy for diverse adult and pediatric patients across three community health centers. They join an interdisciplinary team at Mass General Brigham to deliver evidence-based care in Chelsea, Charlestown, and Everett. This outpatient role combines individual and group counseling, with a strong preference for bilingual English/Spanish candidates. They will build lasting patient relationships and drive chronic disease management in a community health setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy through assessments, care plans, and diet modifications for a caseload of 40 hours per week across three MGH community health centers.
- 2Design individualized nutrition care plans by integrating physician referrals, clinical data, and cultural needs for adult and pediatric patients.
- 3Document assessments and interventions in the EPIC system within 24 hours to meet regulatory standards.
- 4Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets and disease-specific nutrition through individual and group counseling sessions.
- 5Collaborate with providers and food service staff to coordinate meal planning and nutrition support for patient adherence.
- 6Launch a community nutrition education initiative targeting chronic disease prevention within the first 90 days.
- 7Peer-review patient education materials for cultural competency and accuracy.
- 8Serve as the nutrition expert on interdisciplinary care team rounds to influence patient outcomes.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited program.
- 2Registered Dietitian credential required, or eligible upon hire.
- 3Active RD license in Massachusetts or eligible to obtain.
- 4Completion of an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship.
- 53+ years of outpatient, community, or clinical nutrition experience.
- 6Proven experience delivering MNT to diverse pediatric and adult populations.
- 7Experience leading individual and group nutrition counseling.
- 8Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
