Recycle Technician, Manufacturing & Waste Management
Overview
Own the recycle, reuse, and reclamation program at a facility level in Phoenix. You will work with a team to collect, salvage, and sort materials while maintaining clean docks and collection areas. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy in reporting, and professional customer interactions as part of daily operations. What sets this role apart is hands-on material handling in a fast-moving facility with direct exposure to environmental programs.
What You'll Do6
- 1Perform repetitive tasks in a team setting and maintain logs and schedules
- 2Support shift lead in completing punch-list items and meet safety rules
- 3Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials
- 4Inspect and sort materials and maintain dock and collection areas
- 5Follow company procedures,t policies, and safety rules and respond to supervision
- 6Understand reporting systems and the environment and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of recycling experience or equivalent
- 2CPR AED First Aid certification a plus
- 3May require valid driver’s license and forklift certification
- 4Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA may be required
- 5Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and work night shifts with 6pm-4:30am schedule
