Onsite Environmental Technician II, Waste Handling & Compliance
Overview
Own on site hazardous and non hazardous waste handling in Mesa AZ at scale. You will consolidate treat store transport and dispose of waste following compliant practices and regulations. You will perform inspections prepare shipping documents and assist with cleanup of leaks or spills. You will work with forklifts pallet jacks and inventory systems to maintain compliant waste streams. This role blends hands on field work with regulatory knowledge and safety culture to protect people and the environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain compliant waste handling procedures and documentation for shipments
- 2Ship wastes to approved facilities with accurate labeling and DOT EPA compliant documents
- 3Perform cleanup of small leaks or spills following safety guidelines
- 4Operate forklift and pallet jack for container movement and trailer loading
- 5Inventory and label containers per EPA and DOT regulations
- 6Maintain supplies for collection and shipment of waste and recyclables
- 7Contribute to team safety meetings and site inspections
- 8Assist management with related duties as assigned
Requirements6
- 12+ years of experience with hazardous materials
- 2Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
- 3Ability to wear PPE including eye protection steel toes gloves Tyvek coveralls and respirator as needed
- 4English reading writing speaking proficiency
- 5Must be 18 years or older
- 6Proficiency with Windows programs such as Excel and Word (preferred)
