Recovery Associate
Overview
You will own the store's recovery process, ensuring merchandise returns to the sales floor and shelves stay stocked. You'll work in a team of dedicated associates at Rural King, a farm and home store in Columbus, Ohio. This contract role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. You'll gain hands-on experience with retail operations and equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet customers within a ten-foot radius and assist with purchase decisions.
- 2Restock shelves and arrange products into effective displays.
- 3Complete daily department recovery for assigned areas.
- 4Maintain cleanliness by wiping shelves and sweeping beneath them.
- 5Follow the Indoor Merchandising Guide for your department.
- 6Keep bathrooms clean and well-maintained.
- 7Operate handheld devices, forklifts, and pallet jacks safely.
- 8Cross-train in other departments to support team flexibility.
- 9Participate in training programs, workshops, and webinars.
- 10Demonstrate Rural King's values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, and more.
Requirements9
- 11+ years of retail or customer service experience preferred.
- 2Ability to interact with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- 3Comfortable using POS systems and inventory software.
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 5Proven customer service skills.
- 6Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 pounds.
- 7Ability to use ladders and pallet jacks.
- 8Comfortable navigating all store facilities.
- 9Ability to work independently without supervision.
