Store Associate - Full-Time, Retail & Customer Service
Overview
You will own the store floor: stocking shelves, running the POS system, and keeping the store spotless. You'll join a team of 10-15 associates and report to the store manager, working 30+ hours weekly. This role stands out because you'll gain cross-training in curbside pickup, inventory, and loss prevention, with clear wage growth each year.
What You'll Do8
- 1Model customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management to resolve issues within the first 30 days.
- 2Operate the POS system to scan and process purchases, and flag scanning errors promptly.
- 3Stock shelves and displays using merchandising planograms, completing resets within 2 hours of delivery.
- 4Fulfill curbside pickup orders: retrieve items, verify contents, and deliver to vehicles within 5 minutes of arrival.
- 5Maintain zone and merchandising standards, ensuring 100% compliance during walkthroughs.
- 6Assist store management in meeting operational efficiency and total loss goals by following inventory procedures.
- 7Support a safe work environment: identify hazards, practice proper ergonomics, and maintain equipment like pallet jacks and the cardboard baler.
- 8Perform daily cleaning tasks to company standards, including floor scrubbing and glass cleaning.
Requirements8
- 118+ years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 26+ months of retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- 3Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and stock shelves at various heights.
- 4Ability to operate store equipment including POS registers, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
- 5Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler areas.
- 6Ability to perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
- 7Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- 8Reliable attendance and ability to meet availability requirements, including weekends and holidays.
