Full-Time Store Associate at ALDI
Overview
You will own the store floor: stocking shelves, ringing up customers, and keeping the space clean. You will work with the ALDI team to deliver a smooth shopping experience. This role runs 30+ hours weekly at $18.50/hour, with clear raises through year five. You will master the POS system and planograms while contributing to store efficiency and loss prevention.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet customers and process purchases using the POS system, handling cash and card payments accurately.
- 2Stock shelves and displays following planograms to maximize sales and keep the store neat.
- 3Fulfill curbside pickup orders: retrieve items, verify contents, and deliver to vehicles from the staging area.
- 4Maintain zone and merchandising standards, ensuring products are faced and fronted.
- 5Identify and report damaged or outdated products to store management to support loss goals.
- 6Operate equipment like cash registers, pallet jacks, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler safely.
- 7Clean store areas and handle glass and multipurpose cleaning products per company standards.
- 8Follow cash policies and open additional checkout lanes as needed to keep lines moving.
- 9Support store management in maintaining a safe environment by spotting hazards and fixing them.
- 10Assist with inventory procedures and product handling guidelines to keep backstock organized.
Requirements10
- 118+ years old, high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2Prior retail experience preferred, but we will train the right person.
- 3Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 45 pounds and stock overhead.
- 4Ability to operate POS systems, handheld devices, and floor scrubber.
- 5Ability to work in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
- 6Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions.
- 7Basic arithmetic skills to handle cash and count change.
- 8Ability to follow instructions and notice small details.
- 9Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility for 30+ hours weekly.
- 10Ability to work independently and with a team, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
