Recovery Clerk Part Time - BJ's Wholesale Club
Overview
This role owns merchandise recovery and sales floor presentation at a BJ's Wholesale Club location, serving 30,000+ team members and thousands of daily members. You will replenish stock, manage returns, and keep the club clean and organized. The team operates with speed and agility, and you will collaborate daily with fellow clerks and department leads. This part-time position offers weekly pay and a free Club Card Membership, with opportunities to grow within a purpose-driven company.
What You'll Do9
- 1Replenish and straighten merchandise across dairy, freezer, food, and non-food sections within the first 90 days.
- 2Fold and organize apparel, books, and other merchandise to maintain a clean, shoppable floor.
- 3Remove empty cardboard from sales floor and shelves, and operate the cardboard baler to dispose of waste safely.
- 4Return returned and re-shop merchandise to the correct sales floor locations, ensuring accurate signage.
- 5Provide prompt and courteous service to members, resolving concerns according to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate).
- 6Support club policies and procedures, including safety and compliance, while working as a team to achieve daily goals.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor to deliver the GOLD club standard (Grand opening look daily).
- 8Use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets, and assist with lifting objects up to 30 pounds or more with help.
- 9Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed to meet business demands.
Requirements6
- 1Must successfully complete required training and certification processes, including cardboard baler operation.
- 2Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.
- 3Ability to move continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, pull, reach, stoop, and climb ladders.
- 4Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently, and heavier items with assistance.
- 5Ability to use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.
- 6Frequent exposure to company authorized cleaning agents and both indoor and outdoor temperatures, including freezers and coolers.
