- 3Verify product counts against invoices and purchase orders, catching discrepancies before they hit the sales floor.
- 4Organize backroom storage by category and priority, ensuring proper rotation and easy access for stockers.
- 5Complete all receiving paperwork and electronic logs, maintaining accurate records for audits and inventory control.
- 6Communicate with vendors and drivers to resolve delivery issues and maintain positive relationships.
- 7Follow Sprouts receiving standards and health/sanitation procedures, keeping the backroom safe and compliant.
- 8Prioritize tasks during peak hours, balancing quick turns on perishables with accurate documentation.
Requirements9
- 11-2 years of receiving experience in retail or grocery, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2High school diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
- 3Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 4Proven dependability and reliability, with a track record of showing up on time.
- 5Strong math skills for counting and verifying shipments (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- 6Basic computer proficiency for entering receiving data and generating reports.
- 7Physical capability to lift and move products up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 1000 lbs. with a pallet jack, and stand for extended periods.
- 8Vision sufficient to read invoices and inspect product for damage and quality.
