What You'll Do10

  • 1Perform X-ray and fluoroscopy exams, adjusting techniques for patient age and body part per protocol.
  • 2Review radiographs for positioning, technique, and identification, ensuring diagnostic quality.
  • 3Confirm patient identity by name and birthdate, and verify physician orders for correct exam protocol.
  • 4Process digital imaging cassettes with proper labeling and return them to designated areas.
  • 5Recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures, and provide aid as appropriate.
  • 6Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and assist with ordering and inventory.
  • 7Transport patients, schedule exams, and support file room tasks as directed.
  • 8Participate in after-hours standby, callback, and weekend rotation duties.
  • 9Mentor students and less experienced technologists, serving as a resource for best practices.
  • 10Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self, following all safety standards.

Requirements9

  • 11 year experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • 2Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • 3Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH) license.
  • 4Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
  • 5Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification, or obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • 6Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire.
  • 7High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • 9Comfort with computers and medical terminology.
