Overview

You will lead daily operations of Radiology Diagnostic at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, directing tech staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. You will report to the Manager and supervise technical and support staff, managing staffing, schedules, and workflow. ARRT certification and CRT and Fluoroscopy licensure are required. This evening shift role at a 10/40 schedule offers leadership in a full-service hospital setting.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Direct daily activities of Radiology Diagnostic team, ensuring optimal staffing and workflow for quality patient care.
  • 2Produce high-quality diagnostic images using X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Portable equipment, applying proper positioning and imaging techniques.
  • 3Supervise technical staff, providing coaching and input on hiring, promotions, and corrective actions.
  • 4Ensure all exams are completed correctly in IDXrad, including coding, billing modifiers, and proper image labeling.
  • 5Monitor inventory and equipment maintenance, coordinating with vendors to prevent downtime.
  • 6Facilitate referring physician requests and escalate issues to maintain positive relationships.
  • 7Oversee staff schedules, including lunch and break relief, to maintain constant patient flow.
  • 8Educate patients and families on procedures, addressing concerns and confirming understanding.
  • 9Stay current with regulatory requirements and prepare for inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • 10Verify patient identification and pregnancy status, adhering to universal precautions and confidentiality.

Requirements8

  • 11+ year supervisory and technical experience in radiologic technology.
  • 2ARRT certification in Radiography.
  • 3CRT license (California Certified Radiologic Technologist).
  • 4Fluoroscopy license (California).
  • 5AHA BLS Healthcare certification (American Heart Association).
  • 6Completion of an approved formal training program in radiologic technology.
  • 7Experience with IDXrad or similar radiology information system preferred.
  • 8Skilled in patient positioning, contrast administration, and radiation safety.
