X-Ray Technician, Diagnostic Imaging (ARRT Certified)
Overview
You will perform musculoskeletal and spine X-rays across 29 Southern California imaging centers, serving a diverse patient base in Los Angeles and Orange County. You will join a multi-specialty team using CIS, RIS, and PACS systems, with full-time weekday shifts, no evenings or holidays. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform standard musculoskeletal X-rays of extremities, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine with proper patient positioning and safety protocols.
- 2Operate CIS, RIS, and PACS to manage patient records, schedule exams, and archive images accurately.
- 3Deliver patient care focused on comfort, safety, and confidentiality, communicating clearly with diverse patients and staff.
- 4Assist radiologists and physicians during exams, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation.
- 5Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- 6Verify patient identity and clinical history, and prep patients for procedures as needed.
- 7Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions to the imaging team lead.
- 8Document exam details and patient interactions per facility policies.
Requirements7
- 1ARRT Certification with specific X-ray certification and current CRT Permit from the State of California.
- 22+ years clinical X-ray experience, but entry-level candidates may be considered for training.
- 3Current CPR and Venipuncture license, plus Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- 4High school diploma and completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- 5Proven competency in CIS, RIS, and PACS systems.
- 6Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with doctors, patients, and peers.
- 7Demonstrated commitment to superior patient care, including comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
Salary Insight
$62 - $71k per year
