What You'll Do7

  • 1Inspect in-process and finished products against quality standards using CMM and precision tools, catching defects early in production.
  • 2Build and maintain inspection fixtures and gauges, ensuring calibration and readiness for daily use.
  • 3Collaborate with cross-functional teams to trace root causes of quality issues and implement fixes in the first 90 days.
  • 4Document inspection results in MS Excel and generate reports that guide management decisions.
  • 5Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures to align with new product specifications.
  • 6Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring defects and proposing process changes to reduce waste.
  • 7Communicate non-conformances clearly to production and engineering, escalating critical issues immediately.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years in quality control or manufacturing environments, with hands-on inspection experience.
  • 2Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, including sampling methods and defect classification.
  • 3Proficiency with CMM, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • 4Ability to read blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
  • 5Solid analytical skills to interpret inspection data and spot trends.
  • 6Proven problem-solving skills to address quality issues independently.
  • 7Strong written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.
  • 8Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
