You will lead quality initiatives for a precision manufacturing operation in Denver, NC, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and UL standards. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead the quality function and drive continuous improvement initiatives, embedding Lean mindset across all shifts within the first 90 days.
- 2Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, UL, and applicable quality standards, owning audit readiness and certification assessments.
- 3Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring defect detection at every stage of production.
- 4Manage nonconformance investigations and corrective actions using 8D, FMEA, and 5 Whys methodologies.
- 5Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, facilitating kaizen events and process capability studies.
- 6Maintain calibration programs, quality records, and document control systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- 7Coordinate customer audits, supplier audits, and certification assessments, building strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- 8Track quality KPIs such as CPK, PPM, and first-pass yield, and communicate results to leadership monthly.
- 9Train employees on quality standards and best practices, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven leadership in quality systems.
- 2Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality systems, including internal audit and corrective action processes.
- 3Knowledge of CAPA, SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis, with ability to apply them to complex manufacturing issues.
- 4Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or precision machining operations, preferably with direct exposure to CNC machining or injection molding.
- 5Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing is a plus.
- 6CQE, CMQ, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- 7Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
