Quality Inspector, Precision Components & ISO 9001
Overview
Quality Inspector will own inspection protocols for high-value fiber optic components and precision assemblies in a cleanroom environment. You will conduct in-process and final inspections, verify incoming materials, and enforce ESD controls and ISO 9001 documentation standards. Working with Microscopes and precision tools, you will support audits and continuous improvement while collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams. What You'll Do10
- 1Perform in-process and final inspections on production assemblies using Microscopes and precision tools per work instructions.
- 2Conduct incoming material verification, including special handling for glues, adhesives, and chemicals with correct labeling and SDS.
- 3Review Travelers, Work Orders, and inspection records for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
- 4Scan, file, and store quality records to meet ISO 9001 and customer documentation requirements.
- 5Participate in monthly process audits and support MRB processes for nonconformances.
- 6Monitor daily ESD compliance, including humidity checks and documentation.
- 7Enforce quality procedures and handling requirements in the production environment.
- 8Provide clear inspection status updates during daily stand-up meetings.
- 9Assist in training technicians on inspection criteria and quality expectations.
- 10Identify and implement improvements to inspection and documentation processes.
Requirements10
- 12+ years in manufacturing, inspection, or quality role.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Comfort performing microscope-based inspections on small precision parts and fiber optic components.
- 4Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established quality procedures.
- 5Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in documentation.
- 6Basic computer skills with ability to learn Arena PLM and quality systems.
- 7Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- 8Experience with incoming and in-process inspections in a production environment.
- 9Ability to work methodically and independently with minimal supervision.
- 10Familiarity with ESD-controlled environments and daily compliance practices.
