Quality Engineer NPI, Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Overview
Own quality engineering for new product introduction at scale in aerospace and defense manufacturing. Collaborate with automation teams to embed quality into cutting edge manufacturing processes and audits. Develop and refine the Quality Management System and product owner for quality automation tools.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and onboard new customers by mapping quality requirements and performing gap assessments
- 2Design and implement data driven process improvements based on customer flowdowns
- 3Lead customer and third party audits as project manager and document post audit actions
- 4Develop quality plans, protocols, and process maps in collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams
- 5Own quality related automation tools and ensure alignment with production system needs and industry standards
- 6Drive integration of new customer quality processes into automation systems
- 7Refine QMS to meet industry benchmarks and integrate with automation tools
- 8Create documentation standards for quality processes such as control plans and SOPs
- 9Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer flowdowns
- 10Support continuous improvement initiatives across lean manufacturing initiatives
Requirements5
- 1Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role in aerospace or defense manufacturing
- 2Knowledge of AS9100 standards and auditing experience preferred
- 3Experience with inspection processes AS9102 FAIR source inspections
- 4Strong project management and cross functional collaboration skills
- 5Awareness of lean principles and continuous improvement methodology
Salary Insight
$110 - $160k per year
