Overview

The role owns quality systems in an automotive manufacturing environment at scale and drives continuous improvement from development through production. You will implement APQP PPAP Core Tools and control plans, while collaborating with suppliers and cross functional teams. This position emphasizes data driven decisions, inspection documentation, and compliance with customer and industry requirements. This is an on-site contract opportunity in Northvale, NJ.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain quality system requirements including APQP PPAP Core Tools control plans and customer specific requirements
  • 2Develop and maintain process control plans capability studies and Gage R&R studies to ensure product quality and process capability
  • 3Perform process capability analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency
  • 4Analyze quality data prepare reports and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • 5Develop inspection procedures work instructions and quality documentation
  • 6Investigate customer concerns support customer audits and site visits
  • 7Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • 8Review manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • 9Interpret engineering drawings assembly drawings and technical specifications
  • 10Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process performance

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 2Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment required
  • 3Strong knowledge of APQP PPAP SPC MSA FMEA and other Automotive Core Tools
  • 4Experience conducting Gage R&R studies and process capability analysis
  • 5Ability to read engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications
  • 6Experience creating and maintaining process control plans and inspection documentation
  • 7Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
  • 8Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality related reporting tools
  • 9Automotive industry experience required
  • 10Open to non local candidates relocation not available
