Overview

Quality Control Inspector leads inspection activities for incoming, in-process, and final products in aerospace manufacturing. Owns documentation of inspection results within ERP systems and quality records. Works with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliant processes. This role emphasizes precision, process discipline, and continuous improvement within a climate-controlled, daytime onsite environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and inspect incoming materials, parts, and assemblies to verify conformance with engineering drawings and customer requirements
  • 2Inspect throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products stay within specification and meet quality standards
  • 3Perform final inspections before shipment to validate all quality and customer requirements are met
  • 4Document inspection results and nonconformances in ERP systems and quality records to support traceability
  • 5Create and maintain Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs) for defects and discrepancies
  • 6Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100
  • 7Communicate supplier quality concerns and material discrepancies to stakeholders for resolution
  • 8Complete receiving inspection transactions and quality documentation accurately and timely
  • 9Assist with First Article Inspections (FAI) and other validation activities for new or revised products
  • 10Apply ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system requirements in daily inspection activities

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or GED
  • 2Minimum of three years of quality control inspection experience in manufacturing with an ISO 9001 and AS9100 framework
  • 3Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
  • 4Experience identifying, documenting, and reporting nonconformances within a quality management system
  • 5Hands-on experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials and assemblies
  • 6Proficiency in documenting inspection results in ERP systems, manufacturing routers, and quality logs
  • 7Strong knowledge of measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers
  • 8Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • 9Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • 10AS9102 First Article Inspection knowledge or experience (preferred)
