Quality Control Chemist I

Actalent seeks a Quality Control Chemist I to lead product testing and inspection at multiple stages. The role requires analyzing statistical data to define quality standards and executing duties that support the overall quality control process. What You'll Do11
- 1Perform quality control tests on raw materials and finished goods while adjusting batches as needed
- 2Prepare Certificates of Analysis and upload them into the BUS system
- 3Standardize pH meters densitometer viscometer and refractometers per manufacturer guidelines
- 4Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organize workspaces
- 5Provide dye solutions for production and test hazardous waste samples
- 6Document processes according to SOPs and dispose of samples appropriately
- 7Follow company policies and attend mandatory training sessions
- 8Represent the company professionally during stakeholder interactions
- 9Read and interpret technical documents to identify critical issues
- 10Operate balances viscosimeters densitometers and spectrophotometers
- 11Apply strong mathematical skills to evaluate statistical data
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
- 21-2 years of experience in chemistry or quality control testing
- 3Hands-on experience with analytical testing techniques
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- 5Ability to read and interpret regulatory documentation
- 6Strong mathematical abilities including algebra and statistical inference
- 7Eagerness to develop expertise in quality control environments
- 8Commitment to sustainability principles
- 9Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 10Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance
