Overview
As Quality Control Tech at OCCS INC, you will own the testing and release of finished blended products at a chemical plant in Los Angeles, scaling lab throughput to 100+ batches per shift. What You'll Do6
- 1Test finished blended products for viscosity, pH, and active content using HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry methods within the first 90 days
- 2Document batch results in LIMS and flag deviations to production leads within 24 hours
- 3Calibrate and maintain lab instruments including pH meters, balances, and viscometers per SOPs
- 4Sample raw materials and in-process batches to verify blend consistency and traceability
- 5Drive root-cause analysis on failed batches and implement corrective actions with production
- 6Ship certificate of analysis (COA) for every released batch, ensuring GMP compliance
Requirements6
- 15+ years of QC testing experience in the detergent or chemical manufacturing industry
- 2Hands-on proficiency with HPLC, GC, and titration methods
- 3Working knowledge of LIMS and SAP for batch tracking
- 4Skill in MS Excel for data trending and reporting
- 5Ability to interpret ANSI and ASTM standards for product quality
- 6Shift flexibility including weekends and overtime during peak production
