Quality Control Technician, Food Manufacturing
Overview
You will own product quality for an international food manufacturer in Los Angeles, checking raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods to keep every batch within specification. You will join a QC team that works nights and weekends, reporting through a structured quality system. What You'll Do8
- 1Check incoming raw materials and documentation to verify integrity and compliance.
- 2Test intermediate products for weight and hardness, ensuring they stay within the standard range.
- 3Run finished product tests on weight, hardness, dimensions, and sensory attributes against specifications.
- 4Perform microbiological testing to detect contamination and ensure safety.
- 5Calibrate laboratory instruments to maintain accurate measurements.
- 6Generate reports with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to document findings.
- 7Participate in internal and third-party audits, supporting food safety systems.
- 8Walk, squat, bend, turn, and lift up to 50 lbs during sampling and testing.
Requirements6
- 14-year degree in science or a related field.
- 2Familiarity with food safety systems and good manufacturing processes.
- 3Knowledge of ATP testing procedures and food plant sanitation.
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 5Strong math and writing skills.
- 6Aseptic techniques and attention to detail.
