Quality Analyst, Food Science
Overview
Lead raw material and finished product testing oversight for Adept Life Sciences. Set testing specifications create specifications release components and support conditional release processes. Ensure compliance with subcontract laboratory qualifications and maintain sample retention.
What You'll Do15
- 1Determine and assist with testing specifications for raw materials and finished products based on scientifically valid methods
- 2Create raw material specifications derived from finished product specifications
- 3Prepare laboratory COCs and manage sample shipments to third party laboratories
- 4Maintain laboratory testing logs and communicate with external labs to ensure method adherence
- 5Receive and interpret test results to verify specification compliance
- 6Release acceptable raw materials and components for production
- 7Identify and escalate out of specification test results
- 8Execute raw material revalidation testing assessment and disposition
- 9Support conditional release processes for raw materials and components
- 10Perform raw material qualification assessments and disposition for qualified samples
- 11Document non-conformances and root causes while recommending corrective actions
- 12Provide backup support for finished product certificates of analysis
- 13Communicate testing statuses to relevant departments
- 14Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product safety
- 15Assist other quality functions as needed
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in food science biology chemistry engineering or related field
- 2Three years or more of quality assurance experience in food or dietary supplements
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
- 4Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- 5Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems
- 6Strong analytical skills and scientific background
- 7Ability to work independently and collaboratively
