You will own test strategy and execution for the City of Chicago's software portfolio, ensuring quality across manual and automated testing cycles. What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement automated test scripts using Selenium and C# for web applications.
- 2Execute manual test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing of critical city services.
- 3Build and maintain test data and test environments to support continuous testing.
- 4Collaborate with developers to identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
- 5Develop and execute API tests using Postman to validate backend services.
- 6Report test results and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting quality risks and recommendations.
- 7Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- 8Automate test pipelines within Azure DevOps for CI/CD integration, reducing manual effort.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a mix of manual and automated testing.
- 2Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or TestComplete.
- 3Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases to validate data integrity.
- 4Experience writing and executing test cases for web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- 5Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management and CI/CD pipelines.
- 6Familiarity with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
- 7Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
