Quality Assurance Engineer, QA Automation & API Testing
Overview
Own QA across compliance-driven software at scale. Lead automated and manual testing efforts to ensure software quality for key applications. Collaborate with Agile teams to plan, execute, and report on test results. This role offers exposure to cross-functional stakeholders and opportunities to influence testing strategy.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build automated test suites and environments to validate features and fixes within 90 days
- 2Design and execute API and UI tests to reduce regressions by delivering stable releases
- 3Lead defect management and triage sessions with development teams to drive root-cause analysis
- 4Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and acceptance criteria aligned with compliance requirements
- 5Collaborate with Jira ServiceNow and Agile teams to track quality metrics and improve processes
Requirements5
- 15+ years of experience in manual and automated software testing in structured environments
- 2Hands-on with QA automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or TestComplete
- 3Experience with API testing and test planning/execution
- 4Familiarity with defect management and Agile tooling (Jira or ServiceNow)
- 5Ability to operate onsite in Chicago, IL and contribute to cross-functional teams
