Overview
Own food safety and quality for all 3rd shift production at Crown Bakeries, a commercial bakery in Atlanta. You will enforce HACCP, GMP, and BRC/SQF standards across the plant, directly reporting to the FSQA Manager. The role spans daily audits, documentation, customer complaints, and cross-training. You will lead a team, manage co-packing quality, and support regulatory audits. This role suits a hands-on supervisor who thrives on real-time problem solving.
What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor operational processes to ensure all products meet HACCP and GMP requirements from raw materials to finished goods.
- 2Update and maintain all Crown Bakeries' food safety documentation, including program manuals and daily verification records.
- 3Manage assigned CBN program manuals, conduct training, and execute weekly audits to stay audit-ready.
- 4Assist the FSQA manager with co-packing relationships, including complaint response and customer product evaluations.
- 5Enforce food hygiene and safety standards, reporting any violations (e.g., contamination, metal detection, glass breakage) immediately.
- 6Verify prerequisite programs and HACCP activities, including mock recalls and equipment calibration.
- 7Mentor leadership and hourly associates on quality programs, building cross-functional quality ownership.
- 8Document customer complaint corrective actions and drive process improvements using Sightline Systems Dipix and SPC Matrix.
Requirements8
- 1HACCP certification completed, with working knowledge of GMP, BRC/SQF, and OSHA standards.
- 22+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- 3Undergraduate degree in Agricultural Sciences, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
- 5Ability to stand for long periods, walk distances, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 6Strong written and verbal communication skills to lead teams and interact cross-functionally.
- 7Own transportation and ability to work 3rd shift onsite.
- 8Experience with problem solving and data-driven decision making for quality issues.
