Overview

The Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator reports to the HRGA/SCM Director and owns purchasing procurement logistics inventory and supplier management activities supporting SST manufacturing operations. This role blends 50 percent purchasing procurement with 50 percent logistics inventory coordination adjusting as business needs demand. It offers a unique hybrid focus on both front‑end sourcing and back‑office coordination.

What You'll Do27

  • 1Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for raw materials packaging supplies MRO equipment and services
  • 2Source and obtain quotations from vendors to ensure competitive pricing and service levels
  • 3Evaluate supplier pricing lead times delivery performance and quality metrics
  • 4Coordinate with department managers to determine purchasing requirements and forecast future material needs
  • 5Maintain supplier records contracts pricing agreements and purchasing documentation
  • 6Track open purchase orders and proactively communicate status updates to internal stakeholders
  • 7Resolve purchasing discrepancies invoice issues receiving variances and vendor concerns
  • 8Assist with vendor qualification onboarding and performance evaluations
  • 9Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities to prevent production interruptions
  • 10Support annual budgeting and cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and purchasing efficiencies
  • 11Review and approve purchasing documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • 12Maintain procurement data and records within ERP systems including SAP or similar platforms
  • 13Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers freight brokers warehouses and customers
  • 14Schedule deliveries and monitor transportation activities to ensure timely receipt and shipment of products
  • 15Prepare and maintain shipping receiving transportation and customs‑related documentation when applicable
  • 16Track shipments and resolve transportation issues delays shortages or damaged goods
  • 17Coordinate with third‑party logistics providers and freight carriers to optimize delivery performance and transportation costs
  • 18Monitor inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems
  • 19Assist with cycle counts physical inventories and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies
  • 20Support warehouse and production personnel with inventory availability and material movement requirements
  • 21Prepare logistics and inventory performance reports as requested by management
  • 22Ensure compliance with company policies safety standards and applicable transportation regulations
  • 23Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations
  • 24Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers customers logistics partners and internal departments
  • 25Protect confidential company and supplier information
  • 26Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation as required

Requirements25

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 22-5 years experience in purchasing procurement logistics inventory control or supply chain operations
  • 3Associate’s degree in supply chain management Business Administration Logistics Purchasing Accounting or related field required bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 5Basic understanding of chemical manufacturing products and processes preferred
  • 6Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • 7Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint
  • 8Experience utilizing ERP systems such as SAP Oracle JD Edwards Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent
  • 9Excellent organizational analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • 10Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • 11Korean English bilingual proficiency
  • 12Experience supporting import export activities
