PT Center Store Associate, Grocery & Customer Service
Overview
You will own the customer experience in the Grocery Department, keeping shelves stocked and clean while delivering fast, friendly service. You will collaborate with a team of associates to maintain store standards and control shrink through proper CAO ordering and ACIS inventory use. Your work directly impacts sales and customer satisfaction at a Food Lion location serving the Raleigh community. This role is ideal for someone with evening and weekend availability who thrives in a hands-on retail environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet every customer with a smile and offer assistance, ensuring a fast, friendly, and accurate checkout and shopping experience.
- 2Stock shelves from tag to tag, using CAO ordering to maintain full allocations and minimize shrink.
- 3Clean shelf edges and tag moldings with a damp cloth while stocking to keep the department presentable.
- 4Place only saleable merchandise on shelves, rotating stock and removing damaged or expired items.
- 5Use ACIS to track inventory levels and adjust orders based on sales trends and seasonal demand.
- 6Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines, reporting any unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
- 7Complete CBT training modules and apply learned procedures to daily tasks.
- 8Operate a cash register, lottery machine, and scanner as needed, handling currency accurately.
- 9Maintain a neat appearance in Food Lion uniform and name badge while adhering to the dress code.
Requirements7
- 1High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- 2Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 3Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 15 lbs continuously.
- 4Ability to push or pull 75 lbs occasionally and 2000 lbs using a pallet jack.
- 5Stand 100% of the shift and walk short distances frequently.
- 6Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts as required.
- 7Ability to tolerate extreme hot and cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
