Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Integrative Psychiatry
Overview
You will own psychiatric care for a diverse outpatient panel at Vivant Mind, a modern practice in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. You will conduct evaluations, prescribe and manage medications, and craft individualized treatment plans alongside a collaborative team of psychiatrists and therapists. You will work in a thoughtfully designed clinical space with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care. What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish accurate diagnoses for new and existing patients.
- 2Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- 3Provide medication management with regular follow-up care, adjusting treatments based on patient response.
- 4Monitor patient progress, documenting all changes and outcomes in clinical records.
- 5Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other providers to ensure integrated care.
- 6Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment options, and medication effects.
- 7Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary care meetings to refine treatment strategies.
Requirements9
- 1Active New York Nurse Practitioner license.
- 2Board-certified or board-eligible PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).
- 3Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- 4DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
- 5Completion of New York collaborative practice requirements, if applicable.
- 6Proven experience conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management.
- 7Experience providing psychotherapy is preferred.
- 8Experience with ketamine infusions is a plus.
- 9Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
