Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Houston, TX
Overview
Deliver outpatient psychiatric care to adults 18+ in a fast-growing group practice. You will own a caseload of 100% outpatient patients, supported by full administrative staff. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists. Work from a modern office in Katy or hybrid, with uncapped earnings and a sign-on bonus. This role offers work-life balance and no on-call or weekends.
What You'll Do9
- 1Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adult patients.
- 2Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with ongoing monitoring and adjustments.
- 3Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- 4Provide psychotherapy and counseling in individual or group settings.
- 5Collaborate with primary care providers and other behavioral health professionals.
- 6Document patient encounters in EHR (Electronic Health Records) within 24 hours.
- 7Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- 8Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- 9Comply with all state and federal regulations and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements8
- 11+ year of post-training experience as a PMHNP in an outpatient setting.
- 2Active TX license as an APRN with PMHNP board certification from ANCC.
- 3Current DEA registration in the state of Texas.
- 4Experience with adult populations (18+).
- 5Ability to work in Houston (Katy office) on a hybrid or in-office basis.
- 6Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
- 7Proficiency with EHR systems.
- 8Must be passionate about patient care and committed to clinical excellence.
