Prototype Install Mechanic
Overview
Join Horsepower Automotive Group to develop new products from prototype to production. You will work closely with engineering teams to test and evaluate new products while collaborating with cross-functional groups to ensure quality and readiness for launch.
What You'll Do9
- 1Test fit prototype products and verify compatibility with factory features
- 2Install aftermarket products such as bumpers and LED lighting
- 3Perform basic 12V automotive wiring for lighting and winches
- 4Identify fitment and manufacturing improvements
- 5Assist with quality control inspections of production items
- 6Help create customer installation guides during prototype phase
- 7Assemble finished goods as needed
- 8Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
- 9Work on new vehicles and innovative off-road products
Requirements10
- 1At least one year of hands-on automotive mechanical experience
- 2Working knowledge of automotive mechanical and basic electrical systems
- 3Experience using hand tools and performing mechanical installations
- 4Basic metal fabrication skills
- 5Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 6Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- 7Valid driver's license with acceptable insurance
- 8High school diploma or GED
- 9Ability to pass pre-employment screening
- 10Preferred welding experience and proficiency with 3D modeling software
