Overview
You will own protocol and event execution for Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) leadership, coordinating distinguished visitor engagements and official ceremonies. You will manage VIP itineraries, escort guests, and ensure compliance with military protocol standards. Working with command leadership and support staff, you will deliver seamless experiences for senior military and government officials. What You'll Do8
- 1Coordinate official visits and distinguished visitor engagements, including base-wide tours and itineraries.
- 2Escort VIPs, Congressional staff, and senior military leaders, ensuring all protocol requirements are met.
- 3Conduct weekly orientation tours for new hires and specialized tours for civic and government groups.
- 4Schedule command conference rooms, set up A/V equipment, and troubleshoot technical issues for meetings.
- 5Maintain command briefing materials, attend meetings, record minutes, and distribute documentation.
- 6Plan and execute official ceremonies, including retirements, promotions, and awards, preparing invitations and scripts.
- 7Provide protocol guidance to leadership and coordinate recognition programs like Enlisted Person of the Quarter.
- 8Support the Commanding Officer's Secretary with administrative functions and special projects.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of protocol, event planning, or related experience.
- 2Experience applying protocol and etiquette principles with senior military leaders and government officials.
- 3Must obtain Military/Department of War Protocol Specialist Certification within 12 months of hire.
- 41+ year supporting U.S. Coast Guard operations, highly desired.
- 5Experience with ALMIS or AMMIS, highly desired.
- 6U.S. Citizen with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage multiple priorities.
