What You'll Do8
- 1Assist the Government Lead with event planning and site evaluations, ensuring alignment with all applicable Department policies and procedures.
- 2Manage event logistics including vendors, travel, and quotes, and verify all physical and IT/AV room configurations are fully tested and completed in advance.
- 3Oversee day-of event execution, confirming all materials, hospitality services, and room setups are finalized prior to guest arrival.
- 4Provide comprehensive support for executive events, managing VIP logistics, security access, and coordination with the Protocol Officer.
- 5Process all conference approval packages and attendance reports according to official guidance, and maintain historical event archives.
- 6Maintain required on-site staffing, conduct daily check-ins, and meet all response time metrics for communications and pop-up requests.
- 7Use only approved government (.mil) networks and software for official business, ensuring zero data transfer to contractor or personal accounts.
- 8Adhere strictly to Government-established timelines and maintain a central event calendar for all tasks and milestones.
Requirements6
- 13+ years of experience in meeting planning or similar experience.
- 2Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) designation.
- 3Proven competence in all aspects of meeting and event planning.
- 4Ability to plan, manage, and execute conferences and events effectively.
- 5Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 6Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
