Project Manager, Semiconductor Equipment Installation
Overview
You will own the full lifecycle of complex semiconductor equipment installations, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to spec. Reporting to the installation leadership, you will manage schedules, risks, and customer communication across ion beam, laser annealing, and lithography platforms. This role demands a leader who can drive accountability and ensure flawless execution at customer sites worldwide.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own the full installation lifecycle from kickoff to final acceptance, managing schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- 2Build and manage master installation schedules with task dependencies, critical path, and resource allocation.
- 3Lead site readiness verification, validating facilities, utilities, safety, and cleanroom conditions.
- 4Coordinate cross-functional teams including Field Service, Engineering, Process Engineering, and Logistics to drive execution.
- 5Serve as the single point of contact for customers, providing weekly progress updates and managing expectations.
- 6Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues to leadership when needed to protect timelines.
- 7Drive project closeout by securing formal customer acceptance and documenting lessons learned.
- 8Hand off completed installations to service with a transition package including documentation and open items.
- 9Analyze installation cycle time and quality trends to implement process improvements.
- 10Represent the installation team with professionalism, reinforcing a culture of safety and quality.
Requirements7
- 15+ years managing complex equipment installations or related projects.
- 2Proven experience with ion beam deposition, etch, laser annealing, or lithography systems.
- 3Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
- 4Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- 5Ability to travel globally to customer sites as required.
- 6Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- 7PMP certification is a plus.
