Project Manager, Engineering & PMP
Overview
You will own delivery of 5+ years complex engineering projects in Angleton, TX, overseeing scope, budget, and quality from kickoff to closeout. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers and designers, collaborating with client stakeholders and discipline leads to meet performance targets. This role demands mastery of project controls tools and a proactive approach to change management. You will drive financial health and team performance, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate reporting. Partner with Hargrove leadership to align schedules and resources, building lasting client relationships.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead project planning for 5+ years engineering assignments, defining scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders.
- 2Own man-hour estimates and budget tracking using Vision and earnings reports to keep projects profitable.
- 3Drive change management by championing Project Change Notices and communicating scope shifts promptly.
- 4Coordinate resource allocation with Engineering Resource Leaders to balance workloads across teams.
- 5Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with the team, tracking action items and reporting progress.
- 6Review engineering documents, vendor submittals, and fabrication drawings for compliance with specifications.
- 7Support construction phase with start-up assistance and RFI responses to maintain momentum.
- 8Conduct performance assessments of team members and mentor them to build a motivated project team.
- 9Ensure project closeout meets client requirements and documentation is approved and archived.
- 10Cultivate client relationships to secure repeat business and expand services.
Requirements9
- 110+ years of engineering and project management experience, with PMP certification preferred.
- 2Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project controls tools like Vision.
- 4Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver on commitments.
- 5Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, invoices, and earnings reports.
- 6In-depth knowledge of engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
- 7Excellent presentation and communication skills for client and stakeholder interactions.
- 8Ability to handle pressure and delegate authority appropriately.
- 9Skill in coaching and mentoring team members to enhance performance.
