Overview

You will own the daily operational management of Competition Advocacy projects at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, coordinating with Small Business Program stakeholders and supply chain teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals. You will serve as the liaison between project teams and leadership, translating engineering source control drawings into executable plans while ensuring compliance with ISO and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS). You will monitor progress against milestones, create dashboards, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues. This role differs by offering direct exposure to RFP processes and strategic sourcing initiatives within a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Develop project plans and allocate resources to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets for Competition Advocacy initiatives.
  • 2Monitor project milestones from initiation to delivery, adjusting timelines to keep deliverables on track.
  • 3Coordinate cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks for new product development or upgrades.
  • 4Guide project management staff, providing technical direction and support when challenges arise.
  • 5Build progress reports and presentations using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools for management and stakeholders.
  • 6Collaborate with the project team to identify business opportunities, including participation in Contracts & Procurement Operations.
  • 7Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ISO standards, and internal procedures across all project activities.
  • 8Assess project issues and propose solutions to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • 9Support the RFP process by preparing proposal documentation and coordinating with subject matter experts.
  • 10Safeguard confidential information and uphold all legal and safety obligations.

Requirements10

  • 16+ years of progressively complex experience in project administration, ideally with a Bachelor's in Business Administration.
  • 2Proven skill in project management processes, scheduling, budgeting, and workload coordination.
  • 3Experience initiating and managing projects from concept to completion, including schedule and resource coordination.
  • 4Strategic sourcing and supply chain experience in regulated technical environments, with a track record of process improvement.
  • 5Ability to analyze data and resolve project issues involving ISO standards and FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • 6Strong communication skills, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams.
  • 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe software for documentation and presentations.
  • 8Capability to read and interpret engineering source control drawings for project planning and risk assessment.
  • 9Experience navigating compliance reviews and audits, including documentation and corrective actions.
  • 10Flexibility to work extended hours and travel up to 25% as needed.
