Program Scheduler Resource Analyst - FAA PMO
Overview
You will build and maintain resource-loaded schedules for a FAA Program Management Organization, driving schedule integrity and resource analysis across an enterprise portfolio. Working with Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM, you will support project managers and technical teams, ensuring milestones and critical paths stay on track. You will turn complex schedule data into actionable insights for leadership. This role offers the chance to influence process improvements in a mission-driven government environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6 EPPM and Microsoft Project from project manager inputs.
- 2Configure P6 EPPM layouts, filters, activity codes, and baselines to support enterprise reporting.
- 3Analyze resource demand and utilization, identifying overallocated or underutilized resources across projects.
- 4Drive resource leveling, role-based planning, and labor-hour forecasting with variance analysis.
- 5Implement consistent scheduling processes that adapt to project size and scope.
- 6Track control milestones and apply critical path methodology to maintain schedule integrity.
- 7Model what-if scenarios to assess schedule risks and impacts on portfolio objectives.
- 8Prepare schedule performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- 9Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and schedulers to refine schedule processes.
- 10Document and control schedule changes, ensuring compliance with GAO-16-89G best practices.
Requirements9
- 15-7+ years supporting a PMO in planning and scheduling roles.
- 2Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree counts as additional experience.
- 3Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 EPPM 22 or greater, and/or Microsoft Project.
- 4Hands-on experience with critical path analysis and resource analysis.
- 5Proven ability to lead project planning efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- 6Experience with schedule analysis tools such as Steelray Project Analyzer, Oracle Risk or Pertmaster.
- 7Understanding of Earned Value Management engines like Deltek Cobra.
- 8Knowledge of GAO-16-89G Schedule Assessment Guide best practices.
- 9U.S. citizenship or legal residency for three of the past five years, and eligibility for Public Trust clearance.
