Project Engineer Scout Clean Energy
Overview
Scout seeks a Project Engineer to lead development design and construction planning for utility-scale wind solar and energy storage projects. You will support Engineering and Preconstruction teams from early development through notice to proceed. This role offers a chance to shape technical expertise in renewable energy systems.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build conceptual plant designs using GIS CAD and design software tools
- 2Prepare cost estimates for Development projects
- 3Create and update project schedules for Development projects
- 4Conduct technical due diligence reviews and prepare site visit reports
- 5Lead project coordination activities such as managing work orders and design reviews
- 6Support contractors during the request for proposal bid process
- 7Manage engineering deliverables and documentation in SharePoint
- 8Prepare and publish internal stakeholder presentations
- 9Assist with building business cases and processing improvements
- 10Develop internal software tools or integrate commercially available applications
- 11Collaborate across functional teams to improve preconstruction processes
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 2Entry level to 5 years experience in renewable energy infrastructure or related area
- 3Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25 percent
- 4Proficiency with Microsoft Excel SharePoint and scheduling software like MS Project
- 5Experience with GIS tools such as Google Earth ArcGIS or GlobalMapper
- 6Familiarity with AutoCAD Rated Power Bluebeam Revu and other electrical design tools
- 7Strong analytical problem-solving skills and statistical analysis experience
- 8Effective oral and written communication abilities for customer interactions
- 9Ability to work in a flat organization leveraging diverse expertise
- 10Commitment to safety integrity and ethical professional conduct
- 11Willingness to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
