Overview
You own end-to-end manufacturing projects from concept to industrialization, delivering measurable value for Seco SOLVA's customers. You combine 5-7 years of machining expertise with CAD/CAM and simulation software to define tooling strategies, optimize processes, and lead cross-functional teams. Working from our Detroit hub, you partner with sales and technical specialists to build trusted customer relationships and champion Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead end-to-end manufacturing projects from concept to implementation, delivering quality solutions on time and within scope.
- 2Turn customer needs into practical machining, tooling, and execution strategies using CAD/CAM and simulation tools.
- 3Shape high-performing cutting-tool applications and machining strategies, providing technical direction on tool design, programming, and process optimization.
- 4Bring together sales, engineering, customer support, and technical specialists to achieve shared project goals, coaching colleagues to strengthen team capability.
- 5Build trusted customer relationships and shape solutions that create clear business value, partnering with sales throughout consultation, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- 6Coordinate multiple projects, balancing priorities, resources, risks, and customer commitments while tracking performance and improving workflows.
- 7Turn customer feedback and market trends into new technical opportunities, benchmarking competing solutions and championing digital transformation in manufacturing.
- 8Analyze trial, process, and customer data to guide technical decisions, showcasing impact through case studies and measures such as tool life, cycle time, quality, productivity, and cost savings.
- 9Champion a safe, responsible, and environmentally conscious working culture, following company policies and supporting risk management, quality improvement, and audits.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- 25-7 years of experience in production or mechanical engineering, technical application support, industrial sales, or customer-facing project delivery, preferably in metal cutting or manufacturing services.
- 3Strong machining expertise across turning, milling, drilling, cutting-tool applications, and process optimization.
- 4Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM, manufacturing simulation, and programming 2-, 3-, and 5-axis machines, including multitasking machines.
- 5Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, defining machining or tooling methodology, and delivering solutions from concept through implementation.
- 6Experience with value-based or consultative selling, process development, CAD/CAM programming, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- 7Fluent written and spoken English, with effective presentation and report-writing skills.
- 8Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; a valid passport is required.
- 9Agile project management and Lean Six Sigma qualifications are advantageous.
